I have been chastised for not being perky or spunky enough at school in my interactions with other staff members. My coach said she felt "unwelcome" at our grade level meeting... basically because I wanted to get planning and business taken care of in a timely fashion and she prefers talking and chatting for what seems like EVER, sometimes about non-school related stuff because she likes to be social (that's what gives her energy). In the world of differentiated instruction, I feel that she should honor the fact that talking with others drains me of energy. I shouldn't have to be smiley and peppy and all concerned with the teachers home lives during meetings. Sheesh!
Sorry I just had to rant.
And sorry I never update. I'm too busy trying to be perky.
