Summary: Callie takes Arizona to a special place she's never shared with anyone before. Together they watch the beautiful sunset and bask in each other's love.
Author's note: The awesome greys-ajunkie was an amazing help again with this story. I want to thank her from the bottom of my heart.
Callie's point of view.

"Where are you taking me?"

"You'll see."

With a silk scarf covering her eyes I lead her from the car and down the first part of the winding path. Carefully watching her feet, I make sure she will not stumble or trip, there is no way I could let a little stone ruin the wonderful night I have arranged. In one hand I hold hers and in the other the large woven basket that houses my evening plans. At first I hadn't planned on taking away her sight, but as ideas started to weave together in my mind I knew what I wanted to be her first view. While the path we're walking is beautiful and lined with trees in bloom, the real spectacular is at our destination. I also know that without her sight she will be more attuned to feeling the soft breeze on her cheeks and in her hair, the scent of the flowers just before sunset, and the little squeeze I give her hand.

"Wait here, I'll be right back," I say when we come to the top of the stairs leading down the steep hill.

"What do you mean wait here! Callie, where are you going!"

I kiss her softly on the lips to show her that there is nothing to fear. "I'll be right back, baby."

I grab the basket with both hands and scurry down the stairs stopping to call out "no peeking" before dashing away and making quick work of setting up. I had everything in the basket organized with the things I'd need first on top so that she would be alone for as little time as possible. I shake out the blanket and lay it out on the sand and quickly line the candles along the top of the log near by. Everything else can be done when she's with me. I hurry back up the stairs to see her standing where I left her, with her arms folded across her chest and a little pout on her lips. I take her in my arms and turn her so her back is against me. I trail my hands up her body from her waist and untie the scarf. Her eyes are still closed when I turn her to face me again, so I know she's actually enjoying the mystery.

"You can open now," I say, leaning in and kissing her deeply and as I pull away her eyes flutter open.

"Where are we?" she asks softly with wide eyes taking in her beautiful surroundings.

"Somewhere special," I say simply as I take her hand again.

I walk her down the old wooden stairs and as I had planned, she is greeted by the sight of the sun beginning to set on the horizon above the sparkling sea.

"Oh Callie," she whispers. "This is beautiful."

"Not as beautiful as you." I wink at her knowing that she loves when I say cheesy lines like that.

We walk down the last few steps and I bring her over to the blanket I've laid out for us. I settle her down and then reach into the picnic basket and pull out the long matches I've brought. I can feel her eyes on me as I lean over and strike a match, lighting the wicks of the candles in the jars I've used to provide shelter for the flame, then placing them back into their row across the battered log. I turn and look into her eyes, brown meeting blue, and I can see I've made her very happy tonight. I sit beside her and lean back against the log.

"I wanted to do something special for you," I murmur against her ear.

She rests her blond head on my shoulder and sighs. "Thank you."

We sit for a bit just watching the waves crash over the rocks a ways out and then splash softly up against the shore. Some gulls fly overhead and she readjusts against me to watch them soar across the pink stained sky. I wrap my arm around her back and pull her close to watch them with her. The movement of their wings is so beautiful, so rhythmic, so fluid.

"Calliope," she says turning to me. "Thanks…" she pauses. "Thank you for all of this."

"Just getting started," I say kissing her on the forehead and moving to pull out the mugs and thermos of hot chocolate I've brought to help keep us warm. I pour the smooth creamy drink into one of the mugs and pass it to her before pouring my own and nestling back beside her. I watch as she takes a sip and closes her eyes in enjoyment.

"You're amazing," she sighs and puts her mug down to cup my face in her hands. "You're amazing." She leans in and kisses my lips, I open my mouth for her and can taste the rich chocolate laced on her soft tongue when it touches mine. I wrap my arms around her waist and pull her onto me. Tangling my fingers through her long blond locks, I pull her flush against me, I want her as close to me as I can. Our kiss moves like a perfect dance, our lips moving slow and steady, tongues brushing every once in a while. It's a deep dreamy kiss, full of passion and love. The kind of kiss you hope you'll always have. When we break apart she licks her bottom lip and swallows. Her eyes flutter open and we just look into each other while the world melts away around us.

After a moment we settle back beside each other and sit for a while sipping our drinks, our hands intertwined between us. We watch the waves and the bright sun slipping down behind the sea. As I drink from my mug I think to myself that while the chocolate tastes good it's not nearly as good as she tastes and I already miss her lips on mine. Even after all this time, when I'm with Arizona it's like I'm a teenager, I'm always craving her touch. Most of the time at work when we're together on a case it's okay because we're invested in the patient, not thinking about each other, but there are some times when she'll reach past me to get something and I'll catch a whiff of her dazzling smell and it takes everything I've got not to grab her to kiss her or hold her.

Suddenly I'm pulled out of my thoughts and realize she's been watching me, not the sunset. We both grin and she leans in and kisses me on the cheek. She totally knows I was lost in a daydream about her. She places her empty mug on the log and stands, pulling me up with her.

"I'd like to take a little walk with my amazing girlfriend, would she be into that?" she asks smiling.

I nod and take her out stretched hand. We kick our shoes off to walk with the sand between our toes. It's a cool evening but not cold, and the breeze in her hair is beautiful. We walk down by the water but not in it, the sound of the waves lapping near our feet is peaceful and I feel blessed to be here with her.

"I love you," I tell her.

"I know you do." She pulls me into her and kisses me soundly. Everything melts away again as I lean my hips into hers. My hands are on her lower back and slide up underneath her jacket and shirt. Her soft smooth skin is warm and inviting and even though I wish to spend more time with her here at the beach, my mind can't help wandering to later when I will take her home and we can make love. For now I guess I'll just settle for her fully-clothed intoxicating kisses though, they're pretty wonderful after all.

The sun has set completely now and we wander along the edge of the water until we hit the rocks that close off that side. The part I've taken her to is a small secluded bit that I don't think many people know about. It's separate from the rest of the beach and you have to know where the stairs are to get here. I came across this little jewel a few years ago just after I moved here. I wasn't so into seeing the touristy sites, I more wanted to find places that would feel special only to me. I've never taken anyone with me before but I changed my mind a little while ago and knew I had to bring Arizona here, this just happened to be my first chance. It could be one of our spots now, like the bench in the park.

As we walk back to the blanket the moon climbs high, and the stars come out for their evening dance. The candles have stayed aglow with the protection of the jars they're in. I knew tonight would be breezy and I'm glad my plan worked. It's getting a little chilly so we'll be heading home soon but for now I pull the other blanket from the basket and wrap us in it. I lean against the log and she rests her head on my beating chest.

"I love you too," she murmurs after a moment, looking up at me. I can't help but grin, she's so sweet.

"Oh yeah? How much?" I ask playfully, nuzzling my nose against hers.

"Hmmm…" She scrunches up her face in feigned thought. "This much," she says pulling her arms from beneath the blanket and stretching them as wide as she can.

"Wow, that's a lot," I say chuckling. "Come on you nut, let's go home." The wind has picked up and it's getting late.

I stand and put my hand out to help her up. She blows out all the candles but one as I shake out the blanket and put everything away. With the light of the last flame and the bright crescent moon, we trudge back up the stairs to the car. I open her door for her and close it once she's inside, then put the basket in the trunk and circle to the driver's side and start the car. The drive home is quiet but soothingly so, it's as though words would be superfluous.

We reach home and as we board the elevator she takes my hand in hers, bringing it up to place a kiss, before letting them drop down by our sides again. In most of my other relationships little gestures like this dwindled over time, but I am grateful to say the spark is still very alive between us. We step off at our floor and walk down the hall to our door, unlocking it I follow her inside. We shed our coats then shoes, and I drop the basket in the closet to deal with tomorrow.

Once we're unburdened from our outer clothes I can't keep my hands off her another moment, I grab her and kiss her impulsively. Pushing her up against the wall, I thread my fingers through her hair and a little moan escapes her mouth into mine. Her hands grab at my back and she flips us so all of a sudden it's my back pressed hard against the beige wall.

This kiss is raw and needy, within moments we've pushed and pulled ourselves into the bedroom, bumping up against things on our way. Our bodies fight for control as we tear each other's clothes off in a passionate battle for dominance. With bare breasts pressed together and hands roaming everywhere, we fall onto our soft bed. As my fingers finally reach between her legs and feel the wetness there it's like time stops around us. Our movements become less frenzied, more composed, and I slip my fingers into her warm opening. She gasps and arches her back, pressing her hot skin flush against mine. As I move my hand slowly inside her she reaches down and enters me, starting up a similar rhythm. Together we gasp and writhe and moan, our kisses continued but sloppy. My other hand grabs at her back pulling her closer yet and I rake my nails against her sensitive skin, neither of us minding that I'm surely leaving marks.

Our bodies are so attuned to each other, we know each sensitive spot on the other's anatomy, exactly what will push the other over the edge. Just when she gasps that she's about to come undone I pull my lips from hers to lick up her neck, then suckle at the secret spot just below her left ear. Like I thought, that was the last stroke needed to push her over the edge and she calls my name out into the shadows as her orgasm crashes into her. I keep moving my body against her hand and soon after spin off into my own blissful climax.

Ragged breath escaping both of us, she rolls off me and lies limp beside me, a hand covering her eyes.

"Wow," she says.

"Definitely," I reply panting, my heart beating in my ears. I roll onto my side to face her and lean in to kiss her soft, swollen lips. "I can't wait to take you to all the other special places I know."

She smiles at me and nods her head in agreement. I wrap my arms around her and pull the covers over us as she snuggles closer. With the soft glow of the crescent moon shining through the window, we fall asleep entangled in each other's warmth and love.
