3 weeks later

Things are beginning to get back to normal. You all know the saying "When it rains, it pours" That has been my life since the miscarriage. After the ultrasound showing the miscarriage I had surgery to remove everything in my uterus (my choices were to have the surgery or let it pass naturally). It wasn't a bad surgery and afterwards I had 2 days of off and on bad cramping (nothing Ibuprofen and a heating pad couldn't fix). That was on Good Friday. Easter was a blur and I'm not sure I'll ever be happy on Easter again. The Monday after Easter my mom had back surgery (it had been scheduled for then...it wasn't emergency surgery) and after the surgery she didn't recover as quickly as the doctor thought she would. She stayed in the hospital a few extra days before getting moved to a rehab center where she has been for like 2 weeks. A co-worker of mine, who is elderly, got pnemonia and had to be taken to the hospital and has been out of work for 3 weeks (she was in the hospital for 5 days and now home for 2 weeks). With all the other stuff going on in my life I hadn't had a chance to call her or speak with her until today when I profusely apologized for not calling sooner. She understood, knowing about my mom and the m/c.
I had my follow up appointment today. Everything looks good, my uterus is back to pre-pg size. She told us to wait 2 months before trying to conceive again. That made me a bit sad. I really want to be pregnant again asap, but I will follow doctor's orders.

Thank you for all of you who have been very supportive and sent me messages. They have meant a lot. It has been a very emotional few weeks and it was nice knowing you were thinking of me.
