(no subject)
i'm really looking forward to the holidays. still finalizing plans, but we will most likely be here on christmas eve, if not christmas. if we are staying here on christmas eve, we will have dinner with the moisios and then go to church with them for the christmas mass. then we will go home and possibly open gifts together. i kind of want to have a gathering at our place sometime around christmas, but i'm unsure of when.
we will be driving to flint one of three days, depending on plans with the pohly-franzens. it will be either christmas eve, christmas day, or the day after. on the 26th we have plans with
stefimpossible and
jasonmasonjar, which i am so excited about, i can't even explain it properly. i can't believe i get to meet jason after all this time... seriously. it's been a strange week.
we are heading back to flint that night, staying with susan (i think, or my brother) and spending the next couple of days hanging around my family and friends. i would like to see
openheartwound very much, it's been too long. i'm also looking forward to seeing my brother and his family, spending some time with the honorary family, and seeing my aunt cindy.
friday, travis will drive my car up to standish to spend a few days with his family. we may stop down there on our way down from marquette, i'm not sure. depends what day and what plans. jason will pick me up in flint, I think, and we will drive down to ypsi, and spend some time hanging out, going to ann arbor, or whatever sounds fun.
the tickets we looked at for nashville leave out of detroit on new year's day, but we haven't purchased them yet, so it will be sometime in there. my mom will meet us at the airport, we'll see about getting a rental car, and then head to charlotte. while in the area, i want to see the country music hall of fame, ernest tubb's record shop, and we are going to the grand ole opry to see the charlie daniels band that saturday night. i'm super excited about that.
we'll probably fly back on sunday. i need to know what else there is to do there, so we don't get bored just sitting at my mom's house. but we won't be driving into nashville every day we're there, so we are going to need an actual schedule. i can't belive my mom has lived down there since 2002 and i've never been to her house. it's strange. i will also get to meet my stepsister and see my little brother for a bit. can't wait :)
i suspect we'll be heading back to marquette soon after we fly back. then we will have a few days to get settled back at home before school starts. i'm glad we have actual plans this year, i'm glad i don't work at sam goody anymore, i'm glad i have so many people in my life right now that are teriffic. i'm really happy :D
