It's it karma or prophecy?
I skived off work today, only a half hour. Basically, we had a meeting and I decided "You know what? I'm not gonna recapture my focus here, fuck it."
So I told my boss that I wasn't feeling great and I was just gonna go home and we can use my PTO to fill up the difference. He shrugged and said, "Cool. If you still don't feel good tomorrow, don't worry about it."
To which I waved my hand dismissively, "I'll be fine."
Well.
I was fine for about two hours, then BAM! Vertigo. Crazy bad vertigo. In danger of falling over vertigo. Sick to my stomach vertigo. It's awesome. I've tried the turning your head, rolling over trick, I've tried being very still, and resting my eyes, and I'm drinking water in a vain attempt to cure my nausea. Reading isn't very soothing, the computer certainly isn't either, I don't have TV, and I'm not really getting it up for any of my movies.
I want to WRITE but I feel SICK and I'm worried that a vague feeling of nausea will pervade anything I try to write. ::sighs::
In other news: Oh Miley. I'd forgotten how much it annoys me when she takes pictures and pretends she doesn't get what people are talking about.
"What? I was just half-naked with bedroom hair, god!"
"What? I was just in a wet t-shirt! What's the big deal?"
It's not that she's taking/posing the pictures. And of course, I understand that many of the pics were private and hacked and shared against her will, but she took them. I am not famous, no one is hacking my phone, I've taken exactly one provocative picture in my life. It was just in my nature.
But by all means, Miley, fly that flag high. The flag that says, "I'm one of those celebrities that enjoys taking dirty pictures." Turn 18 and pose for Playboy! I'd honestly have no problem with it. I'd have no problem with her twittering about Jesus saving a man one minute, and "Check out this new bikini! Isn't it sexxxy?" the next minute. Just so long as she owning it. As in owning up to it.
Is that wrong? Wanting to tell her to quit pretending like she doesn't enjoy taking naughty pictures and doesn't know why everyone's shocked? Is it ungenerous? She is sixteen and a product of Disney. Perhaps she wants to tell everybody that she's an exhibitionist but can't till she's 18.
Anyway, don't get me wrong. I think it's hysterical that of all of Jonai, it's Nick that seems to have fallen head over heels for a girl that got a healthy dose of the "bad girl" gene. But mostly I just sort of fear for them. They're so young! They're so open! It's hard for me to watch!
Also Miley's twittering about how she hurts for him, and her fascination with taking pictures of sexy things is probably going to come and bite them both in the butt at some point...
ETA: My argument is imprecise and in need of much clarification! Also my head hurts and my stomach is not happy. So. Please to be ignoring my rambling. Mine is flawed logic and it's a tangled issue. Don't judge me! Or. Judge me. But don't give it much weight.
