you're the same old brand new you
Well, well, well.
So today was day two in all its celery stick chomping glory. I had to fight the "stuff the hunger until you're absolutely sure it's dead!" impulse, but I did it. I also had to the fight the "holy crap it's cold, if I don't snuggle down in the covers instead of exercising, I might lose a toe to frostbite!" impulse, but I did it.
Work proved to be a surprising source of good news. After losing my sweet and dumb eye candy at work they unexpectedly hired new eye candy! I don't yet know if he's dumb but I'm hoping not.
Infinitely more important is the fact that I was asked to write an article for a trade newsletter. Big exciting stuff, yeah? No. But by the end of the day I had kudos from my supervisor, VP, and CEO, and my work had been shown to another VP. Kinda cool, in a disgusting yuppie sort of way.

How wonderful that staff level people are so in tune with our mission and have eagerly jumped at the chance to tout what they offer at the BBB. We have come a long, long way from those days at I35 and Oltorf where staff frequently commented...”But we’ve always done it that way!” or “It’s not my job!”
