I got hit yesterday with a wave of depression so strong it'll probably have lingering effects on my future children.
It's still going on, but it's more the elephant in the room rather than the elephant sitting on my chest.
Which means I was capable of applying to five jobs this morning. But now means I'm overcome with a sad confidence that I won't be hearing from any of them.
(I did in fact, mention to the first that they meant "doldrums" not "dull drums." Just to be on the safe side. If I get the job it's because I passed the test, if I don't get the job I can tell myself it's because they were too stupid to know the difference, and too petty to take kindly to having that pointed out.)
