The countdown really has started!

3 weeks today I will be probably tucking into the pudding at my wedding. Weird. Miss M arrives in just under 2 weeks- very much looking forward to seeing her after all this time although it might be difficult recognising her with that weird thing she seems to have on her face these days.

What do you call it now, er oh yes, a smile ;-)

I have discovered that one of my soon-to-be aunts is wearing a long cream dress to the wedding. I somehow managed to bite my tongue when she told me this. I am being frighteningly calm about a lot of things, I do hope it continues.

I had my very first manicure today. My nails look a bit neater than before, it was only an express one though this time. I have booked another one for myself the day before the wedding and I have also booked one for a certain visitor to the country. Hope you don't mind Becks- thought you might like a girly treat!

I had my second dress fitting today. Seems to be good. Breathing not that easy in it so I may need to be slightly wary of what I eat over the next 3 weeks just to be sure of being comfortable!

I have almost decided on a plan for the hen night. Nothing too wild, just food then drinks and dancing. The latter possibly on a moored boat on the Thames. It's good fun, very cheesey music which I think will work just fine.

Had my car checked out today as the brakes were making some very dodgy noises. All fine though. Planning to head up north to see my brother and the kids next weekend (there's a 12th birthday to celebrate!) so thought it best to get it checked out. Plus if it's going to be going for some jaunts around the country in the hands of my dear bridesmaid I figured I'd better make sure it got her back safely.

In other completely unrelated news we have babies!! 3 blackbird babies that is in our climbing rosebush. We were having a hack-down of all the overgrown bits in the garden last week when J spotted a nest with some eggs in it. We of course stopped hacking that bit and now they have hatched. They are very cute, if a little noisy.

That's about it really, I'm going to cut up some peppers , swill them in a bit of chilli oil an skewer them ready to put on the bbq.
