I know from experience it can be difficult to diagnose your sick fish. So I scanned this flow chart of symptoms from one of my Mardel fish medicine packages.
It includes parasites such as Velvet/protozoan disease, Ich (Ichtyyophithirius), worms , gill flukes, leeches, gyrodactylus, trichodina, multicellular external parasites, white spots. It includes fungal infections such as true fungal infections and and bacterial infections that appear as fungal infections (known as Columnaris or Body Fungus). And it includes bacterial infections such as internal bacterial infections, popeye, external bacterial infection, mechanical injuries, fighting injuries, gill disease, fin rot, and tail rot. I include this list in hopes that if someone is searching for how to treat these they would find this.
