Makeup and rituals.
Every day, I have a ritual for my face. It's almost OCD. Wash my face, prep with a Nivea scrub for shave prep, shave once, scrub face with a Clean and Clear daily cleansing scrub, then shave again an hour later (or just before heading out). I guess I AM OCD...maybe just a bit. But it works wonders.
On top of this, a bit of foundation always helps. :) On that note, I went to MAC today and got myself some of their Studio Tech cream foundation compact. The guy there suggested that I get one of their foundation brushes but it was like $32. Uhm, no thanks. An applicator sponge works pretty well for me, and the one that comes with it is no slouch and definitely how I'm used to applying foundation to begin with.
But, the foundation is great! I'd had MAC and Shiseido cosmetics for years but they were all for achieving that visual kei not-quite-whiteface look so they were totally unusable for the day-to-day. I have to admit, it was well worth the $38-something I spent (which I felt pretty bad about since I put it on my credit card).
By the way, the MAC guys are like...really gay. I don't mean that it's bad but....really, really, really gay. They do know their shit though. Like someone said on Crossplay.net, go to MAC. You won't regret it.
