Thank you to everyone who sent flove and hugs my way yesterday. It was greatly, greatly appreciated. A few hours after I posted that, my grandma passed away and the family was around her and it was very peaceful.

Random musings:
- I'm flipping through the channels and I've landed on Doctor Who. Everyone and their brother is LOVING this show, so I want to try it, but am I correct in thinking this isn't the beginning of the show? Like, there are few seasons that haven't aired here or something? What episode do I start with/how many eps have been aired? Should I bother at this point?
- Dr. Pepper has a new flavor called Berries & Cream. Y'all? It's grape soda mixed with Dr. Pepper.
- Call me a sicko, but I am dying to see the opposite view of the Britney sculpture. Is she dilated? Can we see the head? There are so many things wrong with that sculpture, from the idea to the 'model' to the reasoning behind it, that it boggles my brain. She had a C-section! She didn't put aside her career for the kid -- she postponed it, she didn't turn into a fifties-era housewife. And seriously - did the artist not look at any photo of Britney pregnant besides the cover of Elle? Because I'm sorry, the sculpture has absolutely no fat and she's toned and perfect and . . . I remember seeing a million and one pictures of Britney looking like your average knocked-up Southern girl, in more than a few cases holding a greasy bag of Southern-fried food in one hand and a 78 ounce cup of soda in the other.
- I bought Memoirs of a Geisha this morning and I'm so disappointed. I couldn't see it in the theaters because it didn't come near me, but I'm glad I didn't see it in the theater and have to listen to everyone saying, "What'd she say? What? Huh?" I've never had to use closed captioning before, but it sure got a workout. It was beautifully photographed, and Hatsumommo was perfectly cast, but geez, the book is about a million times better. And why was the ending in New York cut out? That brought the story to a natural conclusion, I thought.
