omg, i'm alive
so what have i been up too:
work and home life.
terry and i get along well now, better now as friends as we did as a couple. i am still moving soonish tho, looking at places closer to work. taylah is fine with everything thats going on. she knows she will still be able to see terry even when we move, so she is happy with that.
work is ok. young tom has had a few sick days in recent weeks, but he was legitimately sick unlike when i was working with fuck face, so i have had to cover for him, but it's ok, i make him pay be back by covering a few shifts for me.
i had to have a bit of a hard word to him re cleaning and not reading notes i have left him in the communication diary. i think hopefully now he gets the picture. i do get a little frustrated when i have to ask or tell someone to do something more than once, but thats my fault.
and i am STILL waiting for my new menu. our 'boss' decided that he was going to do one for us. he used to be a chef so he knows what he's doing. but it has been a few weeks and i have had no input whatsoever and that frustrates me a bit. we have competition opening up accross the road very soon and i would like to have it up and going before that happens.
social life.
well, thats work related lol. i haven;t been out to any parties recently, choosing instead to have a few drinks at work at the end of a shift then go home.
on sunday taylah and i went to see the da vinci machines and paua shell house exhibits at the museum. the da vinci machines was well worth it, i even got taylah a t shirt from it. it's bright red and has da vinci's 'helicopter' on it.
and in other news:
my home town got a bit of a jolt last night. my mum sent me a terrible pun about being "a bit shaken up" this morning
glad i wasn't there, i HATE earthquakes
and today i added drop dead fred, oceans eleven and dazed and confused for only $10 each.
but buying crap that i don't need is something i should not be doing at the moment. cutting down on that and drinking is what i need to be doing to save money for moving and my trip to napier in november.
