*phew* i'm glad that is over

tonight was hectic, we did a lot more than we have in previous months (monday is kitchen busy night because of them quiz, they aren't big drinkers)
we did less fries and wedges and more meals, so that put it up a bit.
i am still getting used to training someone. on mondays for a little while i am training both my new chef and my kitchen hand in two different jobs. tonight my kitchen hand seemed a bit moody, i put it down to a girl thing, she is a girly girl.
i had to have a little bit of a stern word with her, nothing major, and i let the duty manager know because, well shes the boss. she told me that my kitchen hand had just been talking to her and was a bit upset about something that was happening in the kitchen and maybe i should talk to her.
i decided to ask my kitchen hand right away what the matter was because i like to get things out of the way immediately so we can move on. she told me that there was an "angry air" about the kitchen. i almost rolled my eyes.
i had to point out that this was not an angry air, this is a busy air. both the new chef and i get very intense when busy, i was doing at, some points, 6 or more different meals at the same time, while telling them how to and what to teaching each of them their different jobs.
she got over it and understood as far as i can tell.
*sigh* i hope in the future, especially since i have high goals for my time as "boss", i do not have to deal with stupid little girl dramas, they are for the bar! lol
