just can't catch a break/SPN 6.14/X-Files

Ugh. I get Sony Vegas installed, and I think I might finish up one of my WIPs... Guess not. Sony Vegas won't show the video. It just says "media offline", no matter what I do. So, now I have a new computer, that runs all the big programs without any speed issues, and I STILL can't work on my editing. That's just awesome. I have tons of SPN vids I ( Read more... )

I didn't say that's what she was doing. I just said a friend was joking about it, and it reminded me of BW.... Who I'm never going to forgive for trying to pretend my fave character didn't exist, and God, why do I have to love the ones that aren't part of the "original line-up" that never get the love the rest do... It's like a pattern for me...

But anyway, there's nothing that suggests Sera is TRYING to get rid of Cas. Y'know other than the continued minute-long appearances, but that was going on when Kripke was in charge too. Just to a slightly lesser degree.... Shit, I sound like a conspiracy theorist. Only instead of government cover-ups and aliens, I'm talking about showrunners conspiring to get rid of characters. I am truly pathetic....That, or my brain is running on too much Castle.

As for the renewals: probably not until later this year. I think last year we found out in May or June, after s5 ended. s6 had already been confirmed, but the cast- other than Jensen and Jared- was up in the air until the official synopsis for s6 was released.

Ah, the first movie, then.

Oh kk, I thought it was an established theory out there - you totally gave me a heart attack. :P BW...doesn't deserve to be forgiven for his cold shoulder. I completely agree with you on the Jack/Vala front, SO much wasted opportunity.

That's kind of the thing of it though, isn't it? Cas and Vala are both what drew back once-loyal viewers to a show that had lost their interest. I watched SG-1 like mad (on TV!) when I was younger and by season 5 or so I just wasn't interested anymore. Then I saw a clip of Vala and I wanted to give it all another shot and stuck it out for 2 seasons and 2 movies that I completely loved (give or take with Continuum :P ...and the backhalf of S9). SPN did the same but way faster because it was Sam-centric in the early seasons and I didn't like him :P Cas brought me (and a shitload of people) back to the fold. Neither deserve to be a snubbed for being awesome.

Hey I'm all about conspiracy theories when I can't find logical answers for why one of the most popular characters of a show is being under-exploited. I mean you don't go from being a Regular to a Recurring without raising some eyebrows.

Damnit. Here's hoping someone leaks something soon, or that the rest of the eps are Cas-overloads and soothe our disquiet...for now anyway.

Lol, sorry bb!

Damn straight they are. I mean, I never really lost interest in SG-1 while I was going through it... though that could be because I watched them all straight through... but my favorite seasons are 9 and 10. It was seasons 9 and 10 that started me vidding, and started my fic writing. Just like with SPN; I loved the show beforehand, but it was Cas' introduction that got me vidding, and writing, and got me active in the fandom. Not to mention Cas gave me something to ship other than lost causes, and dead people (Dean/Lisa- they turned out to be less of a lost cause than I thought-, Sam/Sarah, and Sam/Jess)

He's still listed as a regular, bb. He was only listed as recurring guest star for s4. S5 got him promoted to series regular, and they didn't change his billing for s6. Though god only knows why not. He's been around less than Bobby... and Crowley, for that matter.

The closer it gets to the end of the season, the more people start saying that they think Cas is gonna die. It happened last season too. (I think Rufus and Sampa are on the chopping block in then next couple of weeks, myself). Cas at least makes it to the 2-hour finale, since he's apparently getting himself into big trouble... which is why people are saying he's going to die (it's like the Michael spoiler from last year... the one about him getting into a fight with Mike, and not coming out of it so hot.)

Here's to hoping we get Cas overload. Gods know we need it.

Yeah, exactly! I mean I haven't got anything anyone could call "progress" done on my vids but the desire to vid only came with Cas (and Vala). They're what get the muses pumpin' iron! Oh yeah, by the by, I heard this week's ep was Lisa-y, how'd that go?

Dude, is he? Cuz his name doesn't appear in the credits, does it? I mean, even in eps he isn't in? Maybe I'm just completely out of it, haven't watched an ep since the middle of the first half :P

I don't know...I feel like if he was going to die (for real, I mean), they would have planted him all over the place and really jerked our hearts around over him throughout the rest of the season.

Eh, it wasn't THAT Lisa-y. Dean showed up while she was about to go out on a date and they had a brief talk (mostly about Lisa is trying to get over him, but every time she thinks she's never going to see him again, he shows up on her doorstep), and Dean had to give Ben something reminiscent of a Divorced Parent speech, and then he left (and cue sappy montage of all the good times with Ben and Lisa). But most of the episode was focused on the case. Which was rather weak, NGL. Though the twist was interesting.

Yeah, it does XD I know: I pay obsessive amounts of attention to the credits. It always says "Starring: Jared Padalecki, Jensen Ackles, Misha Collins"... But ONLY in the episodes he appears in, no matter how long he's in it.

Touche. But you never know with this show. They killed Ellen and Jo out of nowhere. Killed Gabriel out of nowhere too. And Crowley.

Lol, really? A montage? That sounds painful and hilarious.

See??? Yeah, that is bastardly though, when they list him and he's there for all of a frakking line.

These are all true...frak. But then again, people never *really* die on this show :P I mean, isn't Jo even coming back this season? And possibly Gabriel?

it kinda was XD

Well, they said Ellen AND Jo would be coming back as ghosts, and that Kali would show up again. Ben Edlund said he wanted to find a way to bring Gabriel back, but when someone asked Sera about Gabriel, she laughed it off... So far, still no word on Ellen, Jo, Kali, OR Gabriel.

....Though we are getting Lenore back.

Ellen!?? I would be so happy with that *pets*

Lenore...Lenore...why am I picturing the awesome psychic from Season 1ish who kept bursting Dean's bubble? ^^

Me too! But so far, nothing to support it...

Sorry, bb. That's Missouri. Lenore is the vampire from season 2 that didn't eat humans. The one that Gordon was gonna kill, even though she'd never hurt anyone that Sam and Dean saved.

Ooh Tara!Vamp, yeah saw pics of her. That's entirely less exciting than Missouri *chin*

If there is even a POSSIBILITY that they could bring Kali, Gabriel, Jo and Ellen back (If only for an episode, even) I would die of happiness. Particularly Kali and Gabriel. Especially if in conjunction with one another. :D

Oh happy day!

Interview clip with Misha; he made a point of saying that he's playing both himself AND Cas in the meta ep.... Commence praying for Cas and Misha to meet...
