so today at lunch, I was bitching to my mom about not being able to find a title for my WIP fic.
Me: Music isn't helping, and the fact that I don't have a title keeps nagging at me. I can't concentrate on writing because of it. Do you have any suggestions?
Her: .... I have no idea what you're talking about.
Me: The fic I'm writing. *insert spoilerific explanation of plot*
Her: Oh... Um, well, you could go with something like... Wings of the Past
Me: .... You're joking, right?
Her: Why?
Me: That sounds like a cheesy romance novel.
Her: You're right, it kinda does.
Me: I'm going to try to make it NOT a cheesy romance novel. Got anything else?
*later* Her: Wings of Memory
Me: *face/palm* Just stop, Mama. Please.
moral of this story: never ask your mother for title advice. Especially when she's been reading cheesy romance novels.
