*written two days ago....*
Hullo, world. I'm back from choir tour. It was an intense three weeks of bouncing along in vans, eating insane amounts of sloppy joes, and singing our little guts out in rural churches across the Midwest. I saw three of the Great Lakes, bought some Wisconsin cheese, and memorized the first chapter of Philippians. It was fabulous to be able to minister to so many people, and also to build relationships with my fellow choir-members that go beyond, "So, how did that verse test go this morning?"
Hullo, summer. The first thing I did this morning was make a list of all of the things that I want/need to get done over the next two months. Oofy poofy. It's a happy list, however, and I needn't worry about how much I won't get done because I have more than a Spring Break or a long weekend in which to do it. My mind isn't used to functioning in Long Periods of Time at Home.
Hullo, suitcase. So, I've unpacked all day. It's a rather tedious occupation, really, especially when it's gloomy outside and I would rather be taking a nap or doing something crafty. The internet isn't working, either, because of the rain or some such nonsense. I snuck upstairs and read about 40 pages of Mere Christianity this afternoon. I want to make this a C.S. Lewis summer, kind of like my Charles Dickens summer a few years ago. Anyways, I was rather blown away by it all.
