NEWS Pacific Concert Tokyo Dome DVD

IT's on sale now and for those who don't have a penny left in their pockets (like me, bah!)...IT's been SUBBED!

I have to thank the wonderful Newshfan for subbing these wonderful NEWS clips! Without her, I'll be completely news-less (terrible pun, I know :P) Anyways, click on the link to download and find more clips subbed by her ---> http://newshfan.livejournal.com/

As usual the members of NEWS are adorkable adorable as ever and I love them more and more. I've only watched the MC and documentary part from Disc 2 (I'll watch the concert later when I'm free) and here are my highlights (without spoiling those who haven't watched it yet):

So Yamapi tries to act like an idol but he fails terribly at it; Ryo is a sneaky devil and everybody knows it except Shige; Shige as usual doesn't know what's going on; Koyama's "Nantoka Naru Sa" (hilarious!); Tegoshi's tagging along with everybody else; and not much of Massu's moments but I'm sure there's plenty more in the concert and the Taiwan Documentary.

From watching this, I could tell that they are getting more and more comfortable with each other. Not that they weren't before, in fact from their previous concerts I could already tell that their bond was there, but after watching this I see a much deeper brotherly bond between them. That's saying something for an 8-month old fan like me and to be able to witness this progress makes me really proud of them. Go NEWS!

And amidst starting a new semester and suddenly being bombarded with assignments, there's some progress with Journey to the West subbing project. Yay! Only the timing is left for episode 2 and once that is done, it'll be released soon. For those who have been waiting patiently for these subs, thank you! To give you all high quality subs, you guys have to be patient with us. There are so many chinese metaphors and holy phrases that was used in this series that could easily get any translator to go haywire. And to think that I had once contemplated subbing this myself. Thank god there's Flick and Yuen out there to help me. Thanks guys!

ALSO!!!

Moonlight Resonance is now airing! YAY!

Not only that, subs are available from episodes 1- 6. So go download it at d-addicts if you haven't already.

I'm in love with this series right now and I'll definitely recommend it to everyone. It's a family drama that revolves around the theme of Mid-Autumn Festival and the ups and downs that they'll experience. Even though its popularity was due to the success of Heart of Greed (2007), I believe that it can still carry on its own. Why? Besides the fact that Raymond Lam gets more screentime and Michelle Yim gets to act the evil character, I think that MR has a better beginning than in HOG. I never really liked it when TVB always start by showing the audience the ending for the beginning. It just deminishs the excitement of watching a series before we even get to understand the story or the characters. That's what happened in HOG, whereas MR starts from the court hearing divorce between Jo Ba and Hor Ma first before we start to slowly understand how the split between the family all happened. If I had a choice, I would vote for MR's beginning.

From reading in forums, I also heard comments about how some of the actors/actresses cannot act or whatnot eg. Raymond acting is not up to par, Linda always acts the same good girl next door type etc. Well it's too early to tell yet, afterall the series have 40 episodes. Personally, from where I'm up to right now, I don't see a problem with any of the acting. To me, TVB had recruited the best talents into one drama  - something that I haven't seen in awhile. Furthermore, other characters haven't appeared yet, like Bosco Wong, Kate Tsui and Louis Yuen. So it's way too early to say anything yet IMO. *Sighs* people nowadays are so quick to judge things.

Anyways, I'm enjoying watching Moonlight Resonance so far, so no complaints from this tvb-addict girl.  ^.^
