We saw an actual old medieval Christmas play staged at the Folger last night, with a lot of really old music to pad it out, since it was kind of short. Naturally the music proved the highlight of the evening. I recognized one of the songs from singing in Sweet Briar's choir, and another one from the Sweet Tones. I also recognized most of their instruments from writing a paper and doing a presentation on them!
We just set the tree up and put lights on the bushes. The latter is new this year, and it was something I always thought this family was never going to do. But your sister becomes an electrician and all of the sudden it happens. She was completely in charge of lighting the tree too; mom and I just help locate the adapters because not all our outlets are three-pronged and helped put the other decorations on afterwards.
Tomorrow I take my mom ice skating, for the first time since she was about 17 years old. This may be very interesting. I just hope they don't put her in skates too small like they did with me at first.
