The truth is, while I reacted while reading the book, now that I'm done with it I'm not feeling much. Too many elements just depressed my reactions that way. I'm not sad that things happened the way they did, but I'm not really happy either.
Actually, I've decided that I like that we didn't learn how most of the characters turned out. I can shrug off JKR locking in R/Hr and H/G and the names of their kids, so long as she doesn't leave the possibility out that Hermione did have a career, and in the Department of Mysteries.
But my real reaction is reserved towards fandom behavior. Which is some ways is even more predictable than the book itself turned out to be, but even so, I saw two communities had been formed for this new AS/S ship and I just fell over laughing. Remind me to give
hannahdiana a daughter to pair Albus up with. He'll need it after getting screwed by Draco's son so much!
