(no subject)
It seems from this icon-making phase I've suddenly decided to once again attempt drawing. I haven't really drawn anything since a frustrating Studio Art class I was in first semester of sophomore year. My basic problem seems a lack of patience, and of coordination. But I managed to sketch out head-and-shoulders profiles of the Sabe, Rabe, Eirtae, Sache, and Yane, looking at a great number of pictures of everything from the actresses who play them to a couple close-up pictures of braids, though Sache drove me so crazy I had to draw her twice, and I even applied coloured pencil without ruining the drawings. I think I might put the results up on my long-neglected DeviantArt account. But first I want to see if I can draw my other eight. I've got too clear an image of one of them(Ardre) in my head, so its likely any attempt to draw her would end in my failing to capture it.
Bought a small painting this morning at the farmer's market, where dad buys fruits and vegtables and mom occasionally gives in to a tempting piece of hand-crafted jewelry(I might buy some earrings myself before the summer is out), of the Lincoln Memorial as seen through the cherry blossoms. I'll get it framed this week and take it back to Sweet Briar with me.
