It all depends - if they can prove that someone was going to sell or distribute substances, and that there was an agreement amongst two or more people to aid in the process (aiding can simply mean to not turn them in when you knew that a crime was taking place), then one could possibly be charged with conspiracy ( ... )

And when were you written up for simply possessing beer in a dry county? Were you underaged? "Dry counties" are such that no liquor stores can *sell* liquor within the county. There's no law about drinking liquor in a dry county - unless, like I said, you're violating some other law, such as underaged consumption or open containers in a vehicle.

It was Tishomingo County. I had crossed the state line from AL to go into Iuka. I had gotten a 6 pack of Miller to drink while watching Star Wars. I was over 21.

We met a road block and the officer asked us if we had anything. My roommate, being an idiot had forgotten that we were no longer in AL and said yes.

The cop asked if he could search the car and said he would probably use probably cause because the car was dirty if we didn't say yes. He checked the trunk and found my friends whiskey.

He said we were lucky, and that he was going to give only one of us the ticket for the booze. He wrote my freind up for each type of booze. 250 or 400 each

How embarrassing for our state. Maybe they were being disrespectful, but we should be above this kind of behavior. We are suppose to be the hospitality state.
