(no subject)
since its already 10 and i havent started any work (in fact, i havent even been in my room today for more than half an hour)...i figured an update would be in order. yay.
i don't really know what to update that would be of interest to anyone..so shall i tell you about my day?
11:00-11:50 Core. eh, as usual. i dont understand foucout (is that how you spell him?). someone needs to enlighten me. in a non-enlightenment way. i cant believe i have started using that term. shit. they ARE brainwashing us(for those of you non-scrippsies, core is enlightenment central. bah)
12:00-1:45 Lunch Tour. "Shadowing" a tour guide so i can do that next semester. only i happen to be shadowing the head of the program (shes a sophomore), and she wants me to actually lead the tour next freakin week so i can get into it quicker? scary. o and the tour is supposed to be an hour. that didnt happen.
2:45-4:00 Writing 50 (mine is "traditions and limitations of comedy") today might have been my favorite class all semester. in all of my classes. i LOVED a modest proposal and who wouldn't want to watch the daily show in class..and i actually participated because i actually understood a modest proposal. yay babykilling. and satire.
boo shakespeare. oh and the pillowman is a psycho book. shiyat. i thought i would have nightmares.
4:15..the craziness starts. supposed to pick up zoe's prospie for her. prospie stuck in traffic. doesn't show up. they ask me to hang around until 5. fine, so i help walk other prospies from the admissions office to where they need to be. 5:15 i get some dinner. still no prospie. 6:00 i go to my self-defense class where we watched a video tape of my instructor cage-fighting. can we say brutal? 6:30 i head over to the diversity committee meeting which ive only been to 3 times and feel horrible about that. still no prospie but im "on call". 5 minutes into div.com. i get called. prospies here. zoe is in choir so i gotta pick her up. i pick her up. she hasnt eaten dinner. and there is only like 10 minutes until dining hall closes. so we run to dinner. talk. blah blah. then i show her around. zoe's MIA. so i introduce her to my friends..walk around. go to the "sisterhood movie night" for all the other prospies. freakin sisterhood of the traveling pants. we stay for like 5 minutes. but it was enough time to get me motivated to send u the pants, sarz! then we venture over to the browning tv room to watch the OC. zoe eventually shows up. then i come back to my room, chill a little and here i am! yay.
but the good thing is, this prospie is amazing. i had a horrible girl last time. that was hell. this girl is basically my twin sister. ive never had so much in common/been able to so easily talk to a semi-random person before. yay. i hope she goes to scripps.
10:30 hopefully will be a "study break" with em and kate. obviously not study break for me, but they actually study. because they are crazy. and have bio tomorow. that might have something to do with it. there will be more pictures on facebook within the next few days from that. our goat is decorated.
i want to watch the daily show with amanda at 11. i must be honest with myself and know that i wont be doing any homework tonight anyway. and let myself watch a funny show with a funny gal.
aaah today was crazy. this weekend will be hell. must start three 10-page research papers. one 4-5 page paper. GAH.
