Weeks 11-14

Holy shit! Is it nearly Day 100 already? I only just realised...that's supposed to be a milestone...Oh well, I've got a couple days to figure that out haha.

Anyway, long time no update! Sorry, again, about that. Uni really gets in the way of these things.

Day 98, Week 14
(Update covering Days 74-98)
Not Started: 41
In Progress: 22
Completed: 11
Empty Spaces: 27

In Progress:
3. Read 100 books and write a review for each (3/100).
26. Read 10 Penguin Classics (0/10).
Yeah, still reading The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde. I haven't actually read very much and yes, I am definitely very behind on my reading. I love reading and I get very excited about what books to read next but lately I just find I can't be bothered. Anyway, I'm aiming to finish Dorian Gray by the time I go back to Melbourne on Sunday. (Incidentally, my copy of Dorian Gray was published by Penguin).
OH! And I really should write the review for Northanger Abbey, I'll do that after this, I promise.

12. Learn a language.
So, still learning Japanese. Kind of. As with almost everything else, I find myself getting more and more lazy when it comes to Japanese. I'm not finding it hard I just feel like I can't be bothered with it. Hopefully I can get back into gear after mid-semester break is over.

13. Learn to cook five meals (0/5).
I haven't got this one as "in progress" on my list because honestly, I don't really know what to do with it. Having gone off to uni at the end of Feb I now know that cooking is really very easy and my definition of "meal" is extraordinarily loose. I think I'll revise this goal into something more like "Find 5 meals that I enjoy and can cook"...or something like that. Actually I might do a list revision as my Day 100 celebration...

15. Complete a "Wreck This Journal".
Um....I know I've done some stuff do this but I can't really remember what. I left my WTJ in Melbourne. I know I did that "Doodle Over Top of this Page" which was awesome cause I had a new set of coloured fineliners. I've also added a fair number of fruit stickers cause I eat fruit all the time now. I think my "Glue Random Items to this Page" is nearly done.

17. Keep a blog of my progress (with photos where possible).
Haha, yeah...So one thing I didn't considered when I decided on weekly updates was school. When I started this project it was the middle of the holidays, I'd just finished highschool and I hadn't even got my uni offers yet. Now I am pretty busy and can't usually be bothered making an update, even if I remember to do so (which I usually don't). Still, I'm updating ocassionally...

29. Dress up nicely for no reason 10 times (1/10).
Ok, so I'm the kind of girl who has nice clothes but can't often be bothered assembling them into an outfit. Usually I'm a jeans-and-tshirt kinda gal. Anyway, on Day 90 I actually put some effort into my outfit (mostly because I had new clothes, you guys know how it is). I wore black tights under a black and grey stripy skirt with a light grey singlet, a red cardi and red ballet flats. I don't usually wear red so I felt a bit conspicuous but...in a good way...sort of. I'll upload photo/s when I get back to Melbourne.

31. Maintain a planner for a year (3/12).
Over the last twoor so  weeks I've found I have little time or energy for my planner. I've kind of just been penciling things in then, when I get a chance, I go back and decorate a day or two with my pens etc. I have been using my school planner plenty though. I like it because I can use different colours (yay colour coding system) but I don't have to worry about being creative.

33. Watch and keep a log of 100 movies (25/100).
Since my last update I've watched four movies. I don't watch TV much anymore and the cinema is expensive so yeah, the rate at which I consume movies has decreased. Anyway, I watched Alex and Emma (Luke Wilson, on nom nom), The Holiday, Shutter Island and The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas.

36. Become a confident user of Melbourne's public transport system.
Ok, this is one I was actually pretty excited about. While I'm at Uni I live on the outskirts of Melbourne, about 40 minutes from the CBD but public transport, I've lived there for less than two months. I think I forgot to mention it in my last update but on Day 57 I had to catch public transport, not only for the first time since I moved, but for the first time by myself, to meet my cousin in the city. The whole thing went without a hiccup. I looked up what I had to do to get to Flinders St Sation on the internet and yeah....it was really easy.
Anyway, since then I've caught public transport another two times; once into the city and back and once to a shopping centre nearby. I'm pretty comfortable with that stuff now but I won't tick this one off til I'm completely confident, even with trams.

37. Create a Facebook and use it to maintain relationships with friends and family.
I fear I'm addicted. Having said that though, it did come in very handy when I was trying to organise a get together for all of my friends over Easter. Now that we don't all see each other at school every day anymore it's much harder to get a message to everyone at the same time.

71. Make regular posts to organizers  (at least once every 3 months) for as long as I maintain a planner.
I haven't actually made my post for Feburary and March because I left my camera in Melbourne. Just another thing for me to do when I get back.
