My list

I also posted this on mission101 but I figured I should post here as well, seeing as I am starting today.

Well, I am Rachel, 20 and from Scotland. I am currently a uni student, so some of my goals may have to take a break from time to time when essays and that are due. I so far have 82 things on my list, I have left some space because a) I can't think of anything else and b) so I can add things in the future. Though if anyone has any ideas of something I could add, or just inspiration then I am all for it. I mainly decided to do this because I often say I am going to do something but I never quite get around to doing it so hopefully this will give me the boost to actually be a do-er.

Mission starts: 1st March 2010
Mission ends: 26th November 2013

So yeah, here is my list and well... heres to the next 1001 days!


Money/Material
1. Get a job
2. Pay off people (incl. uni library fine) (£120)
3. Buy a whole outfit from a charity shop
4. Open a savings account
5. Sell all stuff on ebay/elsewhere - all money to go in savings account
6. Sell something that I have made
7. Buy a new mp3 player
8. Don't buy things unnecessarily - wait one week before buying, if I still want it I can get it within reason.
9. Get a new laptop
10. Buy at least one new pair of pj's every year.
11. Buy  at least 1 thing off of thinkgeek.com that I have been meaning to buy

Fitness/ Health
12. Lose at least 1stone (14lbs)
13. Run at least once a week
14. Run the race for life
15. Run a half marathon
16. Do yoga everyday for a month (x5)
17. Go for a walk once a week
18. Work out for at least 1hr30mins a week (spread out throughout the week)

Food
19. Eat absolutely no junk food (no exceptions) for 30 days (x3)
20. Cook a three course meal for someone else
21. Learn 10 new recipes (all healthy)
22. Limit myself to 4 cups of tea a day
23. Take a bottle of water when I go out during the day
24. Get out of bed in time to eat breakfast in the morning

Reading/Writing
26. Spend a whole day reading (x3)
27. Finish editing the novel I wrote during NaNoWriMo 2009
28. Write a novel outside of NaNoWriMo
29. Finish NaNoWriMo again (x3)
30. Spend a day reading outside (x3)
31. Read 30 fiction books
32. Read 10 non-fiction books (not related to uni)
33. Write 1,000 words a day for 30 days (x3)
34. Do at least 1 writing exercise a month
35. Write in paper journal at least once every 2 months
36. Enter at least 1 writing competition a year.
37. Read a book in Spanish

Computer/ Internet/ Livejournal
38. Clean up my livejournal every 3 months (userpics, tags etc.)
39. Express things on livejournal that I would usually refrain from (i.e. I need to learn to talk about my emotional/mental well being.
40. Install linux on my next laptop (dual booting to linux and windows)
41. Post a video post once every 6 months.
42. Go without internet for one day every month.

Organisation
43. Clean the flat once a week
44. Spend 5 minutes each day tidying my bedroom
45. Write a to-do list once a week
46. Stick to a bedtime regime (brush teeth, clean face, switch everything off)

Personal Growth
47. Do some voluntary work
48. Do 3 things that scare me
49. Donate blood
50. Deal with problems as soon as they arise (don't put it off)
51. Become comfortable in my own skin more often. (Sometimes I feel perfectly happy with who I am, just not as often as I would like)
52. Stand near a (contained) tarantula without freaking out.

University
53. Complete my honours year
54. Finish all coursework early
55. Don't take any days off (unless too ill, of course)
56. Spend an hour a day (on my free days, at least) doing uni work - whether just reading, writing or essay preparation

Intellectual
57. Learn Spanish
58. Learn Latin
59. Complete 20 goals on smart.fm
60. Learn to play chess
61. Use my ILA to do a night class in a subject to be decided later
62. Re-learn basics of astronomy

Hobbies/ Crafts
63. Continue to progress with my crochet
64. Crochet gifts for people (x10)
65. Buy 1 hobby/interest magazine a month
66. Decide on a use for my scrapbook (and a starting point)
67. Complete a new cross-stich

Music/ Films
68. Clean up mp3 player every 3 months
69. Practice playing my guitar, again.
70. Watch 4 new films a month
71. Own (or at least listen to all the songs on each album) all the albums from 10 categories on: http://www.sputnikmusic.com/feature.php?id=5110

Social
72. Go to all social events that I am asked to (money, previous commitments and taste permitting) - i.e. I am not going to travel to London the day before an exam to see Miley Cyrus
73. Invite people to something (x5) -may sound stupid, but I get anxious about inviting people places
74. Keep in better touch with people

Other (not enough for their own category or I couldn't decide on a category)
75. Plan what I am doing after I graduate (travel, work)
76. Save for what I decide to do after I graduate
77. Meet someone I admire
78. Plan tattoo no.3
79. Take a picture a day for 30 consecutive days. To be posted on LJ (x3)
80. Grow a plant from a seed
81. Send 50 postcards on postcrossing
82. When I plan to do something, follow through and do it.
