I was wondering...

Feb 04, 2012 20:50

Does anyone reward themselves in some way for finishing a goal, other than putting x into savings?

I do small rewards for myself when it comes to studying (keeps me motivated) so I figured I'd try something like that with my 101 list this time around, e.g. if when I finish my 365 project, my reward will be to make it into a printed picture book, etc ( ... )

My goal is to quit smoking.

If I go three weeks, I will reward by buying a new yoga mat.

If I go three months, I get my first flat screen TV,

and If I go 6 months, I get new living room furniture.

Its all about the motivation..... rewarding for good behavior encourages more behavior.

No, I don't. Maybe I should. Kinda hard to do with little or no money (which was the case most of the time). Any ideas?
