OOC: Info Post

An info post? How droll.

Harley's from the DC Universe, and more specifically, Batman. Once upon a time, Dr. Harleen Quinzel was The Joker's psychologist at Arkham Asylum, but Gotham's Clown Prince of crime twisted her mind, and she started planning to be his princess. She suited up as Harley Quinn, busted The Joker out, and they had many many mad adventures.
As one might suppose, a relationship with The Joker wouldn't exactly be of the loving and caring sort. Even though (or more probably, because) The Joker was beginning to develop feelings for Harley, he kicked her out, beat her up, and tried several times to kill her. But DC characters are more sturdy than that, and after some very tender, loving care from Poison Ivy, Harley came back better than ever, now immune to most poisons, and with Olympian gymnastics abilities. Harley cruised around and got nice and familiar with Ivy, and fell into a pattern of bouncing back between Ivy, her dear "Puddin'," and Arkham Asylum (this time inside the cells).
Harley began to tire of the life of crime, fed up with the senseless violence of innocents (and herself). In Arkham, she began to work hard to be released legally, and eventually proved to the board that she was serious about turning her life around. Bruce Wayne (for some weird reason) had difficulty trusting her, but after Harley was kidnapped and willingly sought to return herself to Arkham, he found it in his heart to vote for her release.
This is where you all come in. Harley wanted to get away from Gotham, to find someplace nice and quiet to start a new life. It's just as well that she got Fandom instead. Harley was never good with the whole nice and quiet thing.

Breakdown (What all this means to you):

Harley's trying to be good, she really is. But there's still a bunch of supervillain tendencies left there, and she loves her mischief. So she'll be stirring things up, but if I ever feel that it might go beyond general Fandom wackiness, I'll drop you a line OOC for heads up/permission.

Physically, Harl's a pretty darn good fighter. But when it comes to the world of superheroes, she's towards the bottom of the list, strength-wise. Ivy also mad Harl immune to most poisons. If you'd like to poison Harley (that's hilarious to contemplate), we'll need something pretty strong, so ask me OOC, and we can work something out.

Harley is going to flirt around a lot, she's pretty lonesome without her two favorite people to comfort (read: disdain) her. However, the one principal she values among all others is love. If you tell her you're in a relationship, she'll switch gears right away. It's the one thing you can be sure she has any respect for, and she'll never sabotage true love. Or at least, she won't try to. Love triangles and such can get messy, y'know.

Also, Harley is trying to keep her past a secret, but this is not something that I'm too desperate about seeing her succeed in doing. She'll slip up all over the place, and if anyone were to do even a Google search (or whatever we call it at Fandom. Is there a meta for that? Do we even need one?) on her name, they'd get the whole thing. It's not anywhere near as tightly locked up as she seems to think, so you can leave your character figuring things out to your own discretion. I don't mind either way.

Baseline: Harley isn't a good person at heart. A fun one: no doubt about it. But she was pretty devious even before she met The Joker. However, she does really want to be one of the good guys, and she's going to try hard.
