i just wanna be the one thats true
so im leaving to brazil at 5 am tomorrow morning
it's gonna be so nice to just chill on the beach and go snorkeling and do all that ocean stuff for about a week
I'm all freaked out though, everything i've heard about Brazil has been extremely dangerous or freaky
i.e. you have to carry a little bit of money at all times because if you get mugged and you have no money, they will threaten to shoot you, or just shoot you
or...they'll follow you from the airport and hunt you down like wild dogs. heh
so basically i'm not taking my iPod, my camera, my video camera, my cell phone, jewelry, or anything of major value
my mom's taking a camera, brother and dad have the cell phones, i'll read on the plane instead of listening to music, and i can live without jewelry for a week.
i'm worried its gonna be really stressful because we know NOTHING of portuguese, i dont even know how to say hello or anything. shall be interesting...
we're spending the first 3 days in Rio (where the Copacabana is) and we're gonna do the whole Rio thing (whatever that is) and then we're going to this little island outside of Rio for 5 days. this island's supposed to be like a paradise, there are no motorized vehicles and its got some of the world's most beautiful beaches. so we're gonna snorkel there and go sailing and stuff. i can already tell i'm going to get wickedly burned, because even when i put on tons of sunscreen i still manage to get burned...
anyway, i'll be back (to Chile) like the 27th or something. so Merry Christmas everyone! see you soon...
