home sweet home
so yeah, the last little bit of the chicago trip is in Lyle's journal so im not going to write about it for the sake of not being repetitive for those of you that read both journals...basically i can just say that it was the most perfect trip i've ever had and everything about it was just so surreal...it was incredible, simply perfect, there's just no other way to describe it.
so the plane flight home seemed like it took soooo long. i was so anxious to get here and i felt bad for the lady sitting next to me because for like the last hour i couldnt sit still. i got off the plane and june tyler and tara were waiting for me with a video camera. so good to see familiar faces. and get this...in chicago i saw this girl at the gate and i was like "wow i totally know that girl" and she ended up being this girl that went to our school, i never really talked to her but had seen her around. just kinda weird. yeah, so tyler drove us...got us COMPLETELY lost, although if you ask him about it i'm sure he'll say that it was our fault that he got lost, ha. we called my brother..he's always the best to get me out of those situations.
got to my house and there were like 50 cars parked outside. everyone was here to see meeee. it was crazy, going from not seeing any of these people for what seems like forever and then them all being here at once...it was quite overwhelming, but awesome nonetheless.
we just hung out around here, and then someone had the brilliant idea to go "ice blocking" so we piled in cars and went and bought ice blocks and went to the park. it was crazy, you just like put a towel on a block of ice and slide down a hill. it was kind of funny to watch everyone go flying down a hill, especially tyler who tried to do it standing up which is like next to impossible.
june stayed the night, no big surprise there:) this morning i took a shower in my own shower and it was incredible. it was seriously awesome, i miss my arizona water pressure...the little things we take for granted... so yeah then june and i went to her house so she could get ready. we came back here, jumped the mustang because it had been asleep for 5 months and was not prepared to go driving right away. turned out that we probably need a new battery...yeah so we drove the cadillac today ha.
we went to go visit my brother at work because todays his BIRTHDAY...and my iPod ran out of battery before we even got to desert ridge. so i decided i would just buy a cd at tower. bought my cd, and then the damn cd player wouldnt work...frustrating. got to my brother's work, talked to him for a little while and then i went to his apartment and picked up my other brother's car to bring it up here and june drove the caddy. we had to stop at the iPod shop to get a new part because my charger thing WAS broken, but then when we took it in it worked fine for some reason...i think its just mad at me because i moved it to Chile. but yeah, it works now...we brought the cars home, got david's washed because it was NASTY (LA doesnt do a lot for a car when it comes to cleanliness)
went to visit caitlin boutin after that because somehow she didnt get invited to my house last night. we just hung out there, talked to her mom and then caught up with each other in her room. didnt get to see jon though...he was in his room the whole time and i think he wouldnt come out because june was there ha. yeah, then we came to my house where everyone met to go out to dinner at P.F.Chang's. it was sooo good. i had been craving it for a couple of months and we got this huge table like tucked back by the kitchen. there were quite a few of us...
then caitlin griffin had some people over, so we hung out there...got to see a lot of people i hadnt seen in forever. it was just chill, nothing too exciting...although when kirby threw jaclyn into the pool, shit hit the ceiling and it was pretty funny. she slapped him and basically said she never wanted to speak to him again...good times.
so yeah, then i gave caitlin boutin and tara a ride home and now june and i are here...i guess i have a dentist appt. in the morning, that should be loads of fun:) june hasnt left my side since i've been home, she's even going to the dentist with me, now thats a good friend haha. and yeah, my boy will be home tomorrow night and everything will be normal again...
i love this city, and this state and this country...i cant even describe how amazing it feels to be home...
