The next phase of the backyard remodel is upon us. Today the stone place delivered the bluestone we bought for the patio. We got 2.5 tons. Yes, that's right 2.5 tons of bluestone. And a jumbo bag of gravel fill, plus another 20 50 lb bags. I think the jumbo bag is 2000 or 3000 lbs. I can't remember.
Anyway, we started moving the flagstones from the front yard (where they were delivered) to the backyard. They have to be moved one by one. And some are between 100 and 200 lbs. Needless to say, we went to Home Depot and rented a hand cart for the really heavy ones. The others we carried or put in the wheelbarrow.
We're laying them out in the backyard where the patio will go. We're not quite sure how we're going to work out laying the patio with all the stone piled up but we'll figure that out later. We don't want to put the stone on the grass because it will kill it. And we don't want to leave it out front because someone might steal it (crazy). So it's in the back.
I have a feeling this project is going to take a while. But I am so excited for it!!!! Click
