I haven't updated in awhile...here's what's happened...not much actually.
Ok...the first day of school went pretty well... (pardon me for not remembering some things...my memory has gotten alittle worse than i remember [hah])
Wednesday sept 5th, 2007- first day of school...went well...don't remeber what happened.
1st.) 2-D art with Mrs. Jaye...most of the semester will be painting...so far i have painted a branch with leaves and drawn a sea turtle swimming in water which i will paint when i feel like it. I've missed two tests already...and i need to study 2 infomation sheets. i'm on top of it though.
2nd.) Ap-Literature with Mr. Foster...it's going pretty well...i got a good grade on the first paper we wrote...I haven't done any of the other stuff yet and school started 2 weeks ago :[ I will miss a vocab test pretty soon...but I haven't gotten the vocab sheets yet...so...blah
3rd.) Journalism with Mrs. Mora- I like Mrs. Mora...and Journalism is pretty awesome...the first days after i left class they tried to think of a name for the school paper [if we get to have one...] I wonder what it is...I haven't done any of that homework yet either which only consists or reading a packet and waiting for Byars to bring my notes back home. I've already missed a test.
Academy--
Math=Calculus with Mrs. Carlson. half the class with get A's...some will get B's...and a majority will get C's D's or fail...this saddens me...i am determined to get an A in that fucking class though...no matter what i have to do. tutoring here I come [i guess...] It's pretty easier so far and I've been able to keep pretty well up on the homework...I was unable to do a computer assignment and a test because I can't do them at home.
Chemistry- with Mr. Shull I did fairly well...i went backand reviewed my notes from last year...but my notes from last year are ripped out in the next section that we're working on...so I have to read 26 pages [an entire chapter] in the chem book because i wasn't there for class...it's boring...i fell asleep reading it...but that might just be the mono. :[ I'm sure I've missed a few elements tests...but I've kept up pretty well on the homework and all I don't understand is the memo that I have to write about the emmision spectrum or something...i barely even remember the experiment that Beth and Nick and I did together and i didn't know anything about that stuff in the first place...i am confused on how to start writing that lab...i'm basically fucked there...
Anatomy and Physiology- Mr. Blume...I've only actually been in that class...Twice I think...I don't even know if Mr. Blume knows that i'm in that class or not...sadness. I have no idea what we're doing in that class and I lost the handouts of the bones so I can't really study them...maybe they're on Blackboard...
So here's basically what happened with the Mono...
Wednesday Sept 12th I'd had enough of the achiness and sickness and Mary, Mrs. Byars, Mrs. B, and Mrs. Demas all said similar things to me that day "ew, you look sick" "those antibiotics should be working by now" "your eyes look glassy and sick..." ...which wasn't very nice of them to tell me i looked like shit...but what are you gonna do? So i told my mom we had to go to the doctor that day and she made an appointment for like 4:00...they did a blood test and swabbed my throat and stuff and found out that I had mono while i fell asleep on that little papered table thing they make you sit on. Then they prescribed my Some steriods, told me to stay out of school for 2 days, and sent me home.
At that point I was taking about 7 pills 3 times a day, 2 antibiotics, 2 vitamin c, and 3 steriods...then after about 2 days I broke out in a rash and my thighs and stomach turned dark purple/black and we got scared and went back to the doctor...this time it took literally 30 seconds for them to get us in a room compared to the 25 minutes it had taken 2 days earlier...then they did 2 more blood tests, told me I needed and ultrasound for my liver and my spleen, told me to stop taking the antibiotics because they weren't mixing well with the mono and could be causing liver failure...then she told me to stay out of school until at least today, wednesday the 19th of september...
I had been getting pretty excited for this day to roll around because it meant only 2 more blood tests, knowing the results of my ultrasound, and then i'd be getting better and be asble to go back to school the following day [tomorrow]...but this was not the case. The doctor got the results to my ultrasound and said that my Liver was bigger than it should be and that my spleen was swollen 25%...the normal length of a spleen is 12 inches [maybe not inches...but 12 units or whatever measurement an ultrasound uses] and that the length of mine was 15 inches [or units...whatever]...then she shared the results of my blood tests- apparently I'm lucky not to be bright orange because my liver is failing...This got me pretty scared...i didn't know how bad that was...but then the doctor told me that from feeling my spleen and liver now and from feeling it before it seemed like my liver was getting better...and it should heal on it's own with not too much time. Then they did one more blood test and the results will be in friday when i go to get another blood test and then all those results should be in on monday and after she gets the results at noon on monday then we can talk about when i'll be able to go back to school. the first 3-5 days that i go back to school "cannot and will not be full days" I will be allowed to go to half the day of school/whatever I have energy for. I might be back at the academy for wed thurs and friday of next week...and then back to journalism, ap lit, and 2-d on monday of the following week...so I'll have effectivly missed a majority of the month of sepetmeber.
The powderpuff game was this past Saturday, september 15th...i wasn't able to play...i was barely able to walk onto the field...but i got a jersey and I got to sit on the sidelines. we won again this year...it's our grades third year in a row and we got second place our freshman year. So we'll get trophies at the pep assembly on friday...which...unfortunatly I will miss...I also missed all of spirit week...and homecoming...it a maybe. I've already paid for the limo so i might go on the limo and eat at the restaurant and then just sit at the dance until my mom can come pick me up...or if i'm not feeling well enough I won't get to go at all...which will probably make me cry all day...This is my senior year...I remember saying that I was going to make it perfect... This sucks dirty Asian assholes. I want to be better...i want to have friends anbd talk to them...
I WANT PEOPLE TO COME VISIT ME ...with Taco bell... a nice soft taco with meat cheese lettuce and tomato...and maybe a cinnamon twist...mm...
Today I ate rice...it was all I could eat all day...it's actually all I've eaten all week besides cereal...oh and the three oreo's sitting in front of me.
