Hey all
To submit a prompt for any episode of Numb3rs, simply comment to this post with it.
Q) Who can submit a prompt?
Absolutely anybody! Reader, writer, stalker, who cares? As long as you've watched at least one episode of Numb3rs and know what you want, feel free to comment to this post with as many prompts as you like. You don't even need to be a member of LJ - do it anonymously!
Q) What kind of prompts can I submit?
Here's where it gets a little tricky, but when I say little, I really do mean little:
- No slash amongst the characters. OC slash is fine, but not with canon characters who are otherwise celibate and/or straight. We are trying to keep as true to canon as possbile. But Gen, Het? Go crazy. All rating's acceptable, too. So have your prompts keep this in mind i.e. No "Write Colby and David getting it on after Rampage".
- AU's, tags, missing scenes, POV fic - anything is allowed as long as there is *some* link to the episode itself. You don't even have to prompt with a main character in mind. For example, how about a POV fic from that Cole Porter guy in Thirteen? Or perhaps an extension of End Game when that kid teaches David how to play chess? Go AU with what if Don didn't slam on that brakes when he played chicken with that guy in Thirteen?
- Don't be too specific with your prompt - allow leeway for the author who claims it. But don't be shy either - if you want to see a specific scene, ask for it. It jut depends if anybody else claims it or not, no harm no foul.
Q) Is there any limit to how many prompts I can submit, and a limit for each episode?
Nope. Go crazy. I mean it. Just be sure that in your comments, you label them enough so we know which episode you're talking about. For more help with episode names and a guide, go here for Seasons 1 and 2, and here for Seasons 3 and 4.
Q) Is there any time limit before which I have to submit prompts?
Nope. This post is open 24/7. There can never be too many prompts.
NB 1: Once you submit a prompt, it's open for anyone, and anyone can choose to do with it what they will. You don't have a copyright on the idea, capiche?
NB 2: Please go to the Prompts Masterlist for a concise list, organized by season and then episode, to claim. This post is *just* to submit prompts.
