June 17th, CRAZY day.
I woke up, took a shower, rushed around my house doing random stuff for a few hours, ran to shoppers to get batteries for my camera, then caught the bus to lawrence west to meet up with my friend Caitlin.
So I'm sitting there on the bench waiting for her, when this tall Jamaican guy walks towards me and sits down beside me. And he keeps asking me if I have a pen...or PIMP...I couldn't tell what he was saying. Then he asked me if I was waiting for my boyfriend, or my girlfriend, and when I told him I was just waiting for my friend, he kept asking if it was a girl, then insisting that she was my girlfriend. grrr. yeah eventually I just left, then Caitlin finally came and rescued me lol.
So her and I got downtown, went to the eatons centre for abit, then made our way down to sam the record man to meet AFI. We got in line, and then it had finally sunk in that I was going to meet AFI, so I started jumping around and freaking out, until the security guy asks us if we have wristbands. I looked at him completely clueless and asked what he was talking about. he told us that we need to buy their cd (which neither of us had money for) and then we could get wristbands, which is complete bull because I had never heard about this. I was pretty pissed, but the upside was that I got to chill with Caitlin, which was cool. :)
So I got home and rushed around because I had a birthday party to go to. then my friend jess starts talking to me online and tells me about the alexisonfire show, and convinced me to go to that. I ended up going to the party and then the show, which sucked becuse I was having fun at the party and felt really bad for leavning early; the show was good though. The moshing was almost as good as the social code show, except this concert was outside. it was also a scorcher out there, being inside a mosh pit didn't help. but they played a great show, I did get this crazy kid's head colliding into my lip, but it wasn't really swollen. after that we went to mcdonalds and met a bunch of crazy 20 year old emo people, one really hot guy who talked to me because of my AFI shirt. we had this big debate on whether or not Davey Havok is straight =/. he's actually met the whole band multiple times which is pretty cool.
I got home feeling like I was half dead, but it was worth it. except for the guy at lawrence west who thought I had a pimp...or pen...I hope it was pen =/
Toodles.
