Buk SAM system crews continue to protect Russian units from the enemy's air attack means, namely, UAVs, missiles, rocket-propelled projectiles, and other means of destruction.
During a combat alert duty, a SAM crew detect a high-speed high-altitude target launched from the direction of the enemy. The crew took a position and located the approaching enemy UAV by an all-round-looking radar and launched the missile to destroy it.
Missile battalions of the Zapad Group of Forces reliably protect positions of Russian troops and large objects of military and civilian infrastructure. The air defence units do their work precisely, cohesively, and professionally. They realise that the lives of the servicemen on the line of contact depend on them.
For a great number of destroyed reconnaissance attack UAVs since day one of the special military operation, Buk SAM systems are called 'drone killers'. The systems effectively shoot down Tochka-U, HIMARS MLRS and other rocket-propelled projectiles.
The crews are on duty in all weather conditions around the clock. Every minute the airspace is scanned by target detection stations, and it is simply impossible for an enemy to slip through unnoticed.
