'twas a lovely spring weekend

The highlights:

take-out Chinese and Ugly Betty,
puttering around the house on a beautiful Friday morning,
lunch with John at the one cute little bistro in this town (which also provided some great people watching of the ladies-who-lunch set),
poking about at an independent bookstore; having the willpower to resist Ghost Cats of the South,
coffee and gelato at our favorite local hangout,
a misfired vegetarian meal saved by pizza delivery,
wandering hand-in-hand through the zoo in 75 degrees and sunshine,
the farmer's market,
dairy queen,
BLTs made with the first decent tomatoes of the year,
bagels and salmon and Mochas and Premier League football on Sunday morning,
driving casually on side streets in what will hopefully be our next neighborhood, tea and homemade scones and locally-made plum jam,
yummy sweet and sour stir fry made with jumbo shrimp
lots and lots and lots of sunshine

John and I agreed that it's the first relaxing weekend we've had since sometime in October. And it was terrific!
