So, ya. We've been paying off our AmEx to use it in the UK as our main funding source, and we found out today via email that AmEx has lowered our credit limit to just about $100 more than our balance

Wow. That is horrible. I haven't heard of such a thing happening yet to anyone I know but I won't be surprised if it does. I hope you are able to resolve it in a way that lets you do all the important stuff.
