We watched The Graduate last night, and it was...not what I expected. I really can't believe that's the film role that launched Dustin Hoffman's career. I didn't find any of the characters likable, at all. It was weird.
I just spent a bunch of money on summer clothes and new makeup. Today I'm going to go get my nails done and my eyebrows waxed, then tomorrow I'm going to get my hair chopped off. I've been growing it out because Adrian really seems to prefer it long, but I really can't stand long hair on me. It takes so long to dry and it's always in my face. I'm going back to the short bob that I prefer. So I should be looking cute by the time we leave for Texas on Wednesday morning.
I'm so excited for this trip! I hope it ends up being fun and not mostly stressful, because it will be pretty activity-packed. Wednesday we're flying in, eating dinner with my grandparents, visiting my great grandma in the hospital, and staying with my mom. Thursday we're eating dinner with my other grandparents and staying with my mom again. Friday we drive the 5 hours to Dallas to go stay with his mom, who I've never met. Saturday I think I'm supposed to go to lunch with my cousin in Dallas. Sunday is the wedding, then Monday we have all day to chill in Austin. Then Tuesday we drive back to Houston and fly back to Jacksonville. So that's just...a lot of family, and meeting each other's family members for the first time. He knows my immediate family, but he's never met my grandparents, and I've never met any of his family. Stressful! I'd rather skip that part and just stay in Austin, but my step-grandpa and probably my great grandma are dying, so I really have to go home to East Texas, and he hasn't seen his mom in nearly four years, so we have to go see her. Plus I do want to meet his mom. It just makes me nervous.
