look out or you may become one of my discarded men

if you have never heard eartha kitt sing
you need to hear it now.
like, immediatement.
if at all possible, get "my discarded men" or "mink, schmink"
i have deduced that eartha kitt was to music in the 50's & 60's as william shatner is to music now.
prime example of this is her singing 'let's misbehave'. it ruined my soul.

so i am still unemployed, howeverrrr i fired off about a dozen resumes today, and monday is resume-bomb at limeridge.

somehow i fit the qualifications for an accounts payable clerk at the rude native?? ummmm alright, i can deal with that. i'm pretty sure that's a fancy name for a secretary who also click payroll buttons. pretty sure.

i found the screws for my bed, so i no longer have to somehow organize a trip to ikea, however i'm 100% certain that i can't put it together alone, so whoever comes by next is helping for 5 minutes.

alternately, i had the shock of my life when i went to take a shower in the water-bill-saving basement yesterday evening only to stumble nearly-naked upon the fetid carcass of a recently-drowned MOUSE in a random tub of water (from a leak in the heater i think). oh dear GOD i haven't screamed that loud since i was on this crazy vertical rollercoaster in cleveland . Think about it. That ride. Versus my lungs. OUTDONE by mouse carcass. I will NOT touch it... but it has to go. Anyone know what to do...?!!?!

other points of interest... things with darryl are really quite nice. i haven't had a boyfriend since Owen. so this is new and kinda scary terrirory for me. He and i are very comfortable though, i really didn't expect someone like him to come along, he is very refreshing and i think we are equally grateful to have met each other. Sounds super corny, but i genuinely like this guy/man!

it's a little lonely here in the house, i'm here by myself most hours of the day, and either rehearsing or at darryl's at night. feel free to come see me, and perhaps help me figure out how to make my record player work?

i really REALLY need to go listen to more eartha kitt. she's ridiculous.
