I <3 Writing!

So, do you remember in the beginning of the month when I said that I wasn't sure how much time I was going to have writing?

Well, I was VERY wrong about that - I have a bitch-load of time to write. Not that I'm complaining - I'm really happy that I get to write fics that I've temporarily abandoned and experiment a lot without getting (too) frustrated due to lack of time. Life is good B-) (how the hell do you add smiley faces on here??)

I'm here to advertise my new HP fic titled 'Of Cleaning and Flying Vehicles' - it takes place during the summer between GoF and OotP when the Weasley family arrives at #12 Grimmauld Place and Sirius and Arthur start a bromance over their love of enchanting Muggle forms of transportation.

...

Holy shit I was just on the phone with at least 15 of my relatives, who are together having lunch back in the States. It was out of control - they just kept passing the phone around the table and I kept having to scream because half of them were over 80 years old (knock on wood). Aw, I kind of miss my whacked-out family a little bit.

Anyway, back to shamelessly pimping myself out my new fic. I'm rather fond of it because I love Sirius dearly and I've recently discovered how interesting of a person Arthur Weasley is. Here he is, accused of being a "blood traitor" with seven children to care for with very little money to support everyone. You'd think he'd be kind of a bitter man, but he's actually one of the more positive characters in the series. Sure, he gets angry when his wealth and status as a wizard are insulted, but he's human. He loves his family more than anything in the world and wouldn't give it up for anything. He's an admirable man. And he's very different from Sirius Black in many aspects (you could definitely see Arthur, slightly awkward but all around nice guy harboring a secret resentment towards the always-popular Sirius Black in school if they were to have been in the same year). The more I've thought about it, the more I've grown to love this friendship. I wonder how Arthur reacted at Sirius' death...that would be something to think about.

Hmm...the Order is a very interesting group of people...there has to be more possible bromances...

OH, like Remus and Bill!!!! And that would be so perfect because their children are together in the epilogue. AW. Okay, I'm going to start this in the future if I don't get distracted by anything else.

Now, let's talk about Gilmore Girls. More specifically, Jess Mariano because let's face it: he's the best damn thing about it.

Ah, Jess. I love him. Probably one of my favorite fictional characters because he's just so fascinating. He's got a lot of layers and he's very complex, and yet so simple at the same time. I'm so obsessed. But what I've become obsessed about specifically is Jess post-series. Like, what happens to him in Truncheon and maybe at Luke/Lorelai's wedding. As I mentioned in the Fandom Meme a few posts ago, I always imagined him having a mysterious cult status among the disaffected youth: his book starting out as an underground thing before it explodes onto the mainstream scene; everyone will become entranced by this mystery man and his awesome writing skillz. I just like the idea of Jess traveling again, maybe revisiting people and places he visited the last time he was on the road. And I especially love the idea of a Jess-Venice Beach Gang reunion because of a book tour. That would be nice.

So, Luke/Lorelai wedding fic:

I want it to happen. I really do. I have a basic story line of the events. But the problem is I started thinking about things that could happen right before the wedding, which lead up to the events that were to occur in the wedding itself; they're now inseparable. So now I have this story idea which will probably have to span over a couple of chapters. So, is this it? Is MissGoalie75 FINALLY going to give in and write a multi-chapter fic for Gilmore Girls???

Maybe. Leaning more towards the "yes."

I'll keep you posted as soon as I actually get that project started.

All right, I'm ridiculously tired (I literally have no idea why - I stayed in the apartment all day, ate, and wrote) so I'm going to chillax before heading off to sleep.

Arrivederci!
