books bonkers

After a short hiatus of not spending on anything at all, I've recently gone a little bit berserk on buying children's books. First there was Borders with their 30% (+ another 10 for members) discounts, then some bulk purchases, and then I discovered that acmamall.com was having free shipping and discounts of 23-26% on their already discounted books. So after much comparison with Amazon and Kinokuniya's prices (love their online BookWeb!), and Borders just annoying the hell out of me becuase you can almost NEVER find the books that you want there (it can be not on the shelf one day and magically appear the next, or the system tells you they have 17 copies and you can't find a single one where it should be), I bought something like 22 kids books on acma!

Although the original price of the books on acma without the discount isn't as cheap as Kino, with the discount and the free delivery, it's all quite worth it, especially if you know what you want. And far TOO easy to surf and click and BUY! argh!!

My excuse is that now that we have our own place, and as E is slowly growing into learning to read (yeah, i'm a bit ambitious!), I need new books!

We've also been borrowing quite a number of books from the library, especially since sometimes you never know what they like or don't like.

But I guess most books can't be considered a bad investment eh? :)
