What a week...
So, big news first, then on to the smaller stuff. On Wed. I got a call from Rick at the Daily Press asking if I could come back for a 2nd interview. Of course I said yes, went in yesterday and met the paper's publisher, and by noon had been offered the job. So I start next week as the new full-time photographer/staff writer for the Escanaba Daily Press! I'm way excited, but nervous too. The fam and I are going out to dinner tonight to celebrate. So within the past week, I've gotten both a nice apartment and an awesome full-time job. Yay!
I really haven't gotten anything done in my apartment this week, because of my leg. When I went in to the Dr.s Monday they made me go to the hospital and get an ultrasound done to check for a blood clot (which I didn't have) and then its been so sore and swollen since then that I have tried to baby it when I can, which moving does not allow for. But my furniture's being delivered there this afternoon, which has gotten me a bit more motivated. So I'll probably head over there with another load of stuff shortly, and spend my first night over there tonight.
The only complication to the job/apartment thing is that, with working for the newspaper in Escanaba, it makes more sense to be living in town, or at least closer to town, than in Hermansville. So it looks like I'm going to have to start apartment-shopping again soon. So that whole situation is kind of messed up right now. Needless to say, I probably won't be putting too much energy into decorating my new apartment. *Sigh*
