You should totally order them soon. You could either get them in the order of the books (i.e. Strong Poison first), or do as I did and buy Have His Carcase first. HHC is the most perfect adaptation of the series (and has so much Harriet and H/P goodness in it!), though SP is also pretty damn spot-on too. However, there is a Region 1 boxed set of all three adaptations that if you can find and afford it easily, is soooo worth getting. I bought it last year.
[Edward Petherbridge]. They really, really are. Most perfect casting EVER. That kiss almost makes up for the fact that the GN adaptation is the worst of the three, and the fact that they do not do the 'Placet' thing (!). I just wish we got more footage of that kiss, it's so yummy!

I would so TOTALLY get that box-set, I saw it on Amazon, but I can't play Region 1s yet. Maybe after my birthday but I can't wait until November! I did find them at like £20 each, which is quite okay too, but that place apparently doesn't have GN *headdesk* I think I'll try to ask at my local DVD store, maybe they can get it, who knows.

Maybe you can buy them separately and then sell them on once you get the boxed set. I already had a HHC dvd, but I sent that to 12chen once I got my boxed set. I just wanted the set so much, it is so shiny and pretty and classy like them. (Although I think it does not have the cute Petherbridge interview that the single dvds have, alas) You'll be able to order GN pretty easily I reckon.
No, they don't. It is a MASSIVE shame, but I guess they needed the tv version to be understandable to everyone, and they woulda had to have subtitles for the Latin or something like that. The moment is still vaguely cute though. Harriet-as-Harriet looks so beautiful and she calls him "Dear idiot" and then I MELT. *g*

"Dear idiot" makes me go aaaaaw. He is rather an ass, but then, as long as he knows it himself.... :P
I love how in Thrones, Dominations he's like "And when I buy our first kid loads of christmas presents, he'll look at me and say "Father, you silly ass, why have you bought me so many presents?" because he will surely take after his mother" or something like that.

I hate that TP's (my DVD store) homepage doesn't allow you to ask them to order stuff for you, so I actually need to go to the mall to do this.. and then I'll most likely spend money. And I really shouldn't. I should instead study biology, geography OR finish reading/taking notes to Medea!
and well T,D isn't entirely fanfic, I mean, DLS DID write some of it :P or so it claims but whatdoIknow.

T,D isn't entirely fanfic, you're right. DLS wrote a good part of it, but Paton Walsh just doesn't get it quite right some times. Mainly characters. And I think some fab bits DLS wrote were edited out/not included. Sacrilege!
