A reflection? More like a bragging session.

Woah, so looking at your calendar from the previous year is weird. Journal entries from that time are even weirder.

I can hardly believe that my life is so incredibly different then now. Different people, different tastes, everything! I’m a different person! Yay! That old me was boring and unpopular. I was sure I hadn’t done the classic New Year’s survey that seems to be so popular but low and behold I did. I’m not going to do it again, it takes too much effort, but I feel like answering one question from it.

Last year:
35. Who was the best new person you met? (Cross that, new people)
Haha, who will make it on the list? Let's see... Megan (who's abandoned me and gone to Newfoundland) Julie, Elise, Meghan, Katilin from CLM (hey, she's pretty cool no matter how you think of it), Brent (Wo-rd) and Holly, my favorite instructor to date.

Ok, save for Meghan whom I love even more and Holly, who is also my friend now, I hate or have no contact with the rest of those people. I really, really hope that’s not the case this time next year for these people.

This year?
35. Who was the best new person you met? (Cross that, new people)
Ok, this include people I became closer to. Examples like Jenn and Kathryn, who I knew before this year but only really got to know and appreciate now. So here we go (in no order, I swear):
Val, Nicki, Sharon, Emily, Kathleen, Caroline (whom I don’t hate anymore), Keri-Anne (who has to update her lj *taps foot*), Laura, Crystal, little Emma, Emma Leslie, Galen, Dan, Kathryn, Jenn, CAITLIN, both Sarah’s (but especially Sarah C.), Candice, Katy, Alison, Brownyn, Nelle, Brian, Ian Arbukle, oh and you know, Graham. Like I could forget you :P

So, I’ve met a few more people. I know it says “best” new person you met, but you know what? All of those people are “best” in different ways. You’ve all touched my life in some way and for that I truly thank you. Now enough with the sap and on with some more funny nostalgia.

Only a few months had any real significance last year.
March was my un-sweet sixteen. It’s made me hate my birthday for a long time, and I’m hoping to ignore this year’s completely.
April was musical. Nothing but musical. As much as I complained about it at the time, I can’t wait for it to start again.
May was REMIX. Enough said.
The Summer was pretty good, got to know a lot of people on that list but had few significant days. Canada day was fun. That’s pretty much it.
October would have meant nothing except for the rider II test. I believe I will never forget that weekend.
November was bittersweet. CLUE was great, but seeing Holly go meant my years of riding were finally up. I left FRS for good.
This December has got to have been the best of my life and yet I had the shortest break. I find that to be very unfair.

I also came up with some resolutions! Whut! I’m far too into this New Year thing. Please stop me.
I resolve to….
-Join a gym and USE IT with Nicki
-Use my agenda for everything and actually read what I write in it
-Get drivers license
-Comment on more lj’s and reply to more comments I get.
-Improve posture
-Get a job
-Floss more. It’s on there every year

I have a lot more written down but they’re not necessary to put here. If you have the great needy desire to know them I just might tell you. I’m off to be now, it’s going to be a long day tomorrow.

Peaceness to the Flame

(ps- The ringing in my ears is finally gone. I think it left around noon today)
