they give out diamonds at funerals now
this weekend i went to florida for my granddad's funeral. it was not as bad as i thought it would be. in less than twenty-four hours i had chick-fil-a twice and mcdonald's breakfast. i inherited a diamond ring that i didn't know existed. only strangers tried to guilt trip me for the quick turn-around time. i got to tell my cousin zane about the books her book club would be better off reading (world war z ftw!). it was warm.
i flew back to the city on saturday night and it was snowing. pretty! i had green stuff for dinner. healthy! then i made hot cider with maker's mark, which is apparently not the correct booze to put in cider, but did do the trick of making me fall asleep during vmars. on sunday we saw twilight with the sparkly vampires. sigh. last night i slept for nine hours which made me happy. it is now ridiculously cold.
the next couple of weeks are insane with holiday cheer. tis the season.
