a small rant
dear people of the universe,
if you are currently sick, guess what? it isn't my fault. i was contagious THREE WEEKS AGO. while i was contagious i physically couldn't leave my apartment, much less go running around town making you all sick. when i came into work and sounded like hell? that wasn't a cold. that was some kind of crazy asthma attack. it was gross, but it didn't get you sick. everyone in the free world is sick right now. stop blaming me and making me feel bad that i felt like shit for three weeks. i certainly was punished for being unlucky enough to catch the flu. being grumbled at by three people a day at work because they have the sniffles seems unnecessary.
in other news, don't go changing our sick days from unlimited to five a year and then expect people not to come into work when they are sick. we don't make any money. sick leave is unpaid. you do the math.
i'm sorry you are sick. i know it's nice to have someone to blame. but stop blaming me, please. if my roommate lived with me and didn't get sick, i seriously doubt i got you sick.
