Day 12: Vienna to Berlin to Zurich to Lucerne...and the happy reunion!
what a day!!!
got up at 3:15 after maybe 45 min of sleep to make it to the airport on time. My flight was delayed an hour. It was really sad to say goodbye to everybody. I've made a lot of great friends on this trip. So left Vienna to make it to Berlin just in time for my connecting flight to Zurich...the Berlin airport is ridiculous. And I have a lot of luggage with me...or a lot of heavy stuff.
From Zurich, I found a train to Lucerne. Beat my family to the hotel (they were driving from Italy). It was so good to see them!!! I've missed them so much. Julie, Lauren, Michael, Daniel and I spent hours just messing around, laughing, and having fun catching up. I missed my parents a lot too. It didn't really hit me how long i'd been away till I saw the boys...before I left, I could rest my chin on Daniel's head when he was standing in front of me and I was at least two inches taller than Michael. I see them today and realize that Michael is now taller than me and Daniel is almost there as well. Ahh!! Daniel turns 13 tomorrow too. My little baby:( I got him a yodeler's hat from Vienna!:) Today has been amazing. I love my family. i've missed them a lot.
