So happy! Yet kinda sad...
So I was watching a movie with Ryan and Cassie and got a message on my twitter from Nick asking me "What's Nicholas' favorite thing in the world?" I replied by saying, "I wish I knew. But try as I might, I haven't been able to talk to him for almost 2 years." About 40 minutes later (perfect timing, the movie had JUST ended), I got a phone call from a 602 area code. I answered and it was Nicky.
We talked for about 40 minutes about all sorts of things. He said he likes to play his Nintendo DS and his favorite game is Mario Kart. He said his favorite racer in the game is Yoshi. I also have that game and Yoshi is my favorite racer too! I thought that was pretty awesome.
He isn't into dinosaurs as much anymore, but is really into Godzilla. He also likes DragonBall-Z. He said he knows how to write "Dragon" in Japanese and would show me in a letter if he had my address.
Halfway through the phone call, I asked him if he was mad at me. He said no. But I had to remain composed and fight back the tears when he said "I pretty much forgot all about you." But the next thing I said made me happy: "But I remembered you when I found that stone you gave me."
The stone on his nose in this pic is what he was talking about. I gave it to him when I was in Phoenix. I called it the "I miss Mommy Stone."
He told me he has an email address, so I got it and sent him an email with my home address in it. I hope now we can keep in better contact.
