Well, I will officially never see our old green van again. We got a new minivan today, well my dad picked it up in Burlington anyway. A nice shiny new Caravan, blue I'm told. Can't wait to see it. I will probably miss the old one (I was the one who freaked out for like a year and thought for some odd reason we needed a green minivan, this was in like..I dunno 5th or 6th grade), but oh wellz. I'm excited to see the new one when Dad brings it home Thursday night. We apparently got a great discount now that he works for GE (IDX changed hands to GE earlier this month.) Or old van wasn't really bad, just not good for the distances we like to travel and such :3 So it went to the Good News Garage because they'll fix it up for free and give it to someone, a family probably, without a car.
Hmmm, president Assfuck is giving his State of his Fuck-up right now. Gah I just wanna punch the television.
I am HUNGRY. But I refuse to eat until after I play this Neogame that takes a ridiculously long time to play. Why don't they put a pause button in this goddamn thing!? It wouldn't hurt gameplay.
What else. I dunno. Nothing really new. Felt moody today after I walked Ginger. Just kinda "blaaaaaah". I tried to draw and only got a little done, a WIP for someone. I'll try to color it tomorrow. I just hate how tired the schedule makes me, it's not bad in that I can lay around and stuff but I wish I had more energy to draw.
Speaking of drawing, it sounds perverse but I am LOVING drawing anthros with very very little clothing. No I don't get hot and bothered by furries lol. I just like trying to draw the lines and bodies and stuff...it's hard to explain I guess. I used to use clothes to cover up anatomy amnd even though I still SUZZ0RZ at it, I now don't like covering it up.
...Course I'll have some explaining to do for people who don't get to read my LJ. When they see the girls in the bras and short skirts/underwears, they is gonna wonder and it ain't gonna look good. YEEK.
Hmm. You know, sometimes I wish I got like..more pageviews on DA. No I'm not concerned with DA popularity or anything like that, but I've looked at my count as compared to some other people's and I'm just like "awww poop." I'm trying to improve coloring. I really do love colored pencil. I should try more Photoshop...well I will sometime. It's fun once I get started. There's just something about colored pencil though. I like just regular black and white pencil too. Yeesh pencil this, pencil that!
What else. I decided for a research topic in English I'm going to do a paper on anthros. There's enough on it. I started at Wikipedia and found out there were more leads than I thought, cause I can branch out to things like Mickye Mouse and Ninja Turtles because they count as anthro. It's become such a popular trend today...they even had info on Fursonas. This'll be a fun paper. The teacher pretty much already approved it because she came around to see what we were all doing at our computers in the classroom. She said she didn't know anything about my topic at all which would make it interesting. And I'm glad, because I'll be showing this paoer to someone with a clean "anthro" slate.
Why is that so important? Well. I'm just surrounded by a multitude of people it seems who think anthro = "dumb talking animals omg they should all like be human instead and stuff". That annoys the fuck outta me.
It's like people don't get that it's fun and creative to do. Oh well. I love drawing anthros. It sucks to draw them in front of people though. In fact I don't really like to anymore. I used to but I remember drawing an anthro dragon and some asshat leaned over and went "wtf is that?" and I was like "anthro" and he was like "oh dumb". And that's just been the outlook from a lot of people I know, sparing the online world a lot of the time. I like posting my art on DA. People don't come along and call it dumb, and nearly all of my contacts draw anthro too so they don't mind. Too bad the online world is the only place that seems to fit in. I hardly ever show my sketchpad to anyone anymore. I haven't shwon it to Carol in like a month or 2. I mean why bother if no one will like the content?
You know what I hate? Being alone in my tastes. It happens a lot. Like Xena. Oh sure I can get Keith to watch it with me but unless I'm mistaken he's not exactly a fan of it, just a watcher cause I watch it. I wish I had someone to talk about the fandom with who would actually get it OR care, but I really don't. Yet I could walk into the college with like the tiniest hint I like anime and have plenty to chat about with someone. Guess it helps it your interest is mainstream.
Actually in anime it's like that too. The stuff I like is generally like...you know, not the thing. I'm talking Tenchi when everyone and their brother is talking Naruto. I'm talking Kimba when everyone is talking...um...well something more popular. See? I don't even KNOW what the popular animes are anymore. And I'm interested in way different animes than the people around me too. Don't got nobody to draw/rp Fruits Basket/Tenchi/whatever chars with me. BLAH.
Poop. I'm the only one who wants to watch Animal Planet when everyone else wants to watch Comedy Central. I'm the freak listening to Disney music and 60's songs and Elvis when everyone else like..isn't. You know, I knew all this stuff before but now I'm really feeling it for whatever reason.
I was the one who showed my friends movies like The Last Unicorn and Labyrinth because I'm the only one still stuck in 80's fanatasy.
@__@ It's sad really. Grrah why must I do this to myself. Really didn't feel like getting depressed tonight.
Anyway....I'm just gonna make a list of songs here that I want/need to get. I'm figuring maybe someone reading might have them and maybe they could be sent to me. I also just want a list so I can remember which songs I want.
