Rejection Letter the First

So it's cold, it's pissing rain, I've decided to scrap the 60K words I had written of "Fulfillment," aka The Second Novel, and start over, and I decided to take Mom's advice and email query those who aren't all "RAWR NO EMAIL QUERIES" on their profiles/websites.

I emailed the following people today, which is 4/20, which is kind of hilarious considering my characters are fucking useless:

Laura Langlie responded 10 minutes--TEN MINUTES--after I emailed her to say this:

She's probably right. She represents fucking Meg Cabot. Meg Cabot of The Princess Diaries fame. Meg Cabot's characters don't smoke pot and fuck other men. But that's a really polite and really fast response, so I don't feel like shit about myself.
