Food Truck - Brazilian Flame BBQ

My final shout-out from my Aussie Night Markets adventures in Mona Vale goes to Brazilian Flame BBQ. While I’d actually already discovered their bricks and mortar store in Zetland, that didn’t stop me from craving their crazy-good Picanha Roll ($16).

While it’s one of the pricier market eats, rest assured you’ll be getting a solid smoky, beef hit for your spend. Cooked on a rotisserie, the beef rump cap is moist and tender, and super-tasty from having been basted in its own fat. It’s smothered with the same epically good, house-smoked mayonnaise that keeps me returning to their Zetland store to buy more.

It’s the kind of eat that calls for beer, and while Aussie Night Markets are a dry affair, you can nip across the road to the stylish Park House Food & Liquor. Their drive-through bottle-o had plenty of craft beers to whet your whistle.

The idea to go there wasn’t my own, we were inspired by the clever lads at Tothy Brothers Deli Company who were necking a few while they turned out a good looking range of gourmet sangas.

Run by two brothers from Palm Beach, the lads gave us a taste of their TBD Hot Sauces ($10/bottle) which saw us walking away with their lightly smoked habanero tabasco. It has revolutionised our home-made B.L.T. breakfasts.
