Well, I feel a bit lame waiting until now, but I had a jolly good time at Robby/Jon's Christmas party. I got to help set the cookies and chocolate into festive arrangements! I think all the other happy things got pretty much picked over by everyone else... but I had fun! And we kept Marley from going out into the rain due to Robby's clever loopholes! Yay!
Yesterday I had lunch with Robby and Sarah at Red Robins. The waitress was really nice, so we filled out a comment card for her. Go there for the Artspin dip! Then the rest of my afternoon was filled with preparing for Jennifer's party (sorry for being an inconvenience, you two) which was fun. I wasn't allowed to come downstairs until I dressed up like everyone else, and to my dismay I discovered that most of my clothes are more early 90s and 70s rock concert-ness. What happened to the decade in between? Apparently the same thing that happened to me not having Destination Beautiful. Anyway, it was jolly good fun. Jennifer made an awesome game (that I helped write out!) and the movie was a classic. Too bad Sarah and Marley couldn't hear the dialogue because of Taylor's racous affair with Kimi and Kendall. Is it too much to ask to be able to hear the movie? I love Taylor, but she needs to turn down the volume. I shall force everyone who hasn't seen Breakfast Club to see it some point over break. This time with dialogue. Okay Marley and Sarah? Robby showed up just as the party was ending and helped us all clean up. Then we rocked out to "Lean On Me." I've got so many fond memories of that song... Anyway, the party rocked. In the words of Robby "I don't think anyone except Jennifer has themed birthday parties after age 13."
This morning I had breakfast with Robby and his aunt, who is really really cool. She's a music teacher. Anyway, so we went to Tower Records and I got some Christmas shopping done. And breakfast(?) was delicious. I got dropped off at my dad's office, where it was insane and crazy and loud and it took my mom half an hour to disentangle herself so we could go pick up my car.
But my van is finally in working order! Yay. On to the hockey...
